Goggles
Find a stitch post as nearest the bottom on the side of your finished work as possible, then make 1sc into it with your brown yarn. Then do 1 into the next, and next posts. Make sure the posts that you chose make an arched sideways curve, so that in 15 or so stitches you have a circle. You do not have to copy mine; you can make smaller or bigger goggles according to how big an arch you make. As soon as you have connected the end back to the starting post, find a stitch of the last round and slip stitch into it. Slip stitch all around, and that will make in curved. Once you near the end, don’t finish. Slip stitch 1\4 of the way back up the hoop and be sure to make it small. Then sc two stitches diagonally out from the hoop, and start another hoop of sc. At the end of the second hoop, slip stitch around, then Fo. Weave in your ends. Great job!
Chin Band (Optional)
Attach some more green yarn to the helmet, 6 stitches from the bottom of one hoop. Ch 5, then turn around and sc back. Attach to the helmet, then turn around once more and sc back up the chain. Then ch 15 and attach 6 stitches from the bottom of the other goggle. Do one stitch on the edge of the helmet, then turn around and sc 5 up the chain. Turn around, sc back down, attach to the helmet, and you are done!
Scarf (Loose)
Row 1: Ch 61 (61)
Row 2: skip 1 st, then hdc back down the chain (60)
Fo and weave in ends
Scarf (Stiff)
Row 1: ch 61
Row 2: skip 1 st, then sc 1 down the ch (60)
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc 1 all the way down (60)
Wrap the scarf around Snoopy’s neck, put the helmet on and you have a World War I Flying Ace on your hands! I hope Your Snoopy turned out great!
Happy Crocheting!
